MCDB Logo
Our logo is composed from four images meant to thematically represent the underlying words: "Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology":
  • M — an image by Alex Stemm-Wolf while working in the Winey lab of a Tetrahymena stained with 2 different centrin antibodies.
  • C — an image of cells with a wide variety of fluorescent markers by Chris English while getting his degree in the Jones lab.
  • D — one of Professor Mike Klymkowsky's fabulous images of a developing frog.
  • B — Earth, thanks to WikiCommons.
Helena Ton did most of the image editing while working for the department as an IT technician (2014-2016). The logo was chosen by the faculty from several developed at the time.

Use

Since creating our logo in 2014 the University of Colorado has developed a system wide branding. You can download the campus approved Brand for use in all official documents and media. While we are all proud of our department, please consider our logo unofficial.
