I am a PreMed
MCDB and
Biochemistry double major who loves life. I really enjoy the scientific
process and exploring the world around me- science is pretty much the
greatest thing ever and I couldn't imagine myself doing anything else!
I am currently working on medical countermeasures and physiological
paremeters in extreme environment analogs of long term space flight. I
can't wait to get to medical school and dedicate myself to helping
others through medicine. In the meantime I love singing, dancing,
reading, scrapbooking, and traveling. I am also an extremely avid scuba
diver. cassia.rye@colorado.edu |

As a junior
MCDB/IPHY double major, Alison will be the first to admit that she is a
poorly disguised nerd. She loves studying in both departments, and
hopes that her enthusiasm can encourage lower-division students to
continue pursuing science as she works with them as both a mentor and a
TA. Alison has enjoyed working on both the academic and industry sides
of MCDB, and would like to encourage any students looking for
internships, jobs in MCDB, or who just have questions about the major
to contact her by email. alison.mcmahon@colorado.edu |

Hi
Everyone! My name is Jeff and I am
a 4th year MCDB major. I have just returned from Studying Abroad in
Seoul, South Korea and China for the past year and a half. Going abroad
is an unforgettable experience and It was truly an adventure.
Living
and studying in another foreign country, greatly broadened my view on
the world as well as my life. I would recommend it and tell everyone
that it is possible for anyone to go study abroad. It is my dream to
become a physician and I am currently getting ready to apply to medical
school . I also have a passion for teaching. So if you have any
questions about studying abroad, applying to medical school or anything
else about the MCDB major, feel free to shoot me an email. I hope that
the MCDB Mentors will be able to help your transition into the major,
as well as being a great resource for a variety of opportunities in the
department and the school. ahnjd86@gmail.com |
