Dr. Singh's laboratory studies post-transcriptional gene regulation. The focus is on how RNA-binding proteins control molecular processes during male and female germline stem cell differentiation. They use Drosophila and fission yeast as model organisms and involve a combination of computational, biochemical, molecular and genetic approaches to address the basis of specificity, which is the key aspect of gene regulation.
