MCDB Certificate and M.D./Ph.D. Programs

MCDB offers four specialized Certificate Programs in cooperation with other departments at the University of Colorado in Boulder. In addition to the Ph.D. degree from MCDB, these training experiences can lead to a certificate in Biotechnology, Neuroscience, Behavioral Genetics, astrobiology. Any student admitted to MCDB is welcome to participate in a Certificate Program. Students must notify COGSA of their intent to become involved in a Certificate Program upon arrival or during their first semester so that they may be appropriately advised and enter the program in a timely manner. Students involved in these Certificate Programs are expected to meet the requirements of the MCDB Ph.D. program, except where noted, plus the requirements of Certificate Program as listed below. Questions concerning the Certificate Programs can be directed to the COGSA Chair or the appropriate Coordinator of the Certificate Program.
