Coordinator - Dr. John Hewitt, IBG, (303) 492-0742
email:john.hewitt@colorado.eduParticipation in the Institute for Behavioral Genetics (IBG) Certificate program enables students to do their thesis research in the laboratories at IBG. In addition to the first year requirements in MCDB, these students would also take "Introduction to Behavioral Genetics" (PSYC 5102) and possibly a graduate level statistics course (could be deferred to the second year). The students would be able to do rotations with one or two labs at IBG. In the second year, the students would serve as a teaching assistant for one semester and take "Quantitative Genetics" (PSYC 5122) and one or more electives allowable under the IBG certificate program. Thesis committees can comprise IBG and MCDB faculty, as approved by COGSA.
