STUDENT PARTICIPATION ON COMMITTEES
Graduate students serve on several important committees as advisors or voting members. Students are elected to these positions for one year terms by the MCDB graduate student body at a meeting held every Fall soon after the beginning of the academic year. Students are encouraged to invite one to two seminar speakers a year, and the mechanism to do this should be worked out at the Fall student meeting.
