Mac Copier/Printer Setup
You will need to have access to an administrative user to follow this tutorial and complete this installation.
To set up the new copier as a printer you will need to download the file from this link to your desktop or other chosen download location.
This will download a disk image that looks like this to your chosen download location.

This will probably automatically open up to reveal an icon that looks like below, if not please double click on the icon seen above.

This may also open to a window seen below automatically, if not please double click on the icon seen above.
In this window double click on the icon indicated by the arrow.

You will now be prompted to authenticate as an administrator to continue the installation.

After sucessful authentication the license agreement window seen below will ask if you agree, and if you do click "Continue".

Next click "Agree" at the popup window.

The next window should look like the one below, click "Install" as indicated below.

Next appears a confirmation popup window, saying that all programs need to be closed to continue with the installation. This means all programs, the only open programs should be "Finder" and the installer. A common error is to leave a browser open to continue reading this tutorial and unfortuantely that can't be open either. This tutorial is printable using the print icon in the top right corner of this frame.

If the installation is proceeding correctly, you will see the status screen shown below.

When the installation finishes, it is very important that you restart your computer so that the installation can finish properly.

Here the tutorial splits into two pieces depending on your current version of Mac OS X.
If you use Tiger (10.4.1-10.4.11) please follow the Tiger Cliet Instructions.
If you use Leopard (10.5.0-10.5.+) please follow the Leopard Client Instructions.
