Course Description

This course explores the interface between computation and molecular biology. It is designed for students who want to become familiar with the basic concepts and applications of genomics. Through problem sets, students will learn to manipulate, analyze, and evaluate the large datasets that accompany genomic analysis by writing simple computer scripts. A heavy emphasis will be put on students acquiring basic probabilistic and statistical reasoning skills related to genomics and bioinformatics.

The course covers a wide range of topics, including the latest computational and experimental techniques.
