A Procaryote Dialogue

The three manuscripts in this section are in press in J. Bacteriol.  Originally, Whitman submitted to J. Bacteriol. His article defending the “modern concept of procaryote” (Whitman dialog.pdf).  The Editor of the journal then asked me to write critically about procaryote (Pace.Procaryote Dialog.pdf, the two articles to appear as a “dialog.”  We then each write a rebuttal of the other’s article.  My rebuttal to Whitman (PaceAnswerToWhitman.pdf) is included.  I have not seen Whitman’s answer to my part of the dialog.
