and is appropriate for those who plan to
become elementary school teachers

Time: MW 1 - 3:30 (3 CREDITS, integrated lecture/lab) - MCDB A1B18

A course:
- that teaches science the way you always wanted to learn
- that's fun and engaging but also sets high standards for your learning
- that models best practices for teaching
- that challenges your belief that you can't "do science"
This course introduces key concepts in life science
|
|
|
- characteristics, structure, and chemistry of living things
- DNA, genetics, and evolution
- population and community ecology (energy flow, food webs)
- ecosystem ecology (nutrient cycles, human impacts)
- the brain, nutrition, and infectious diseases
|
|

This course is approved to meet CU A & S core degree requirements for science
(lecture + laboratory, non-sequence),
