Chicca Buvoli

I am a lab technician and I work with Massimo on myosin asssembly.  We are studying the basic mechanisms and the influence of disease causing mutations on thick filament formation, by monitoring the efficiency of incorporation of GFP/DsRED-myosin rods in sarcomeres of neonatal involvement in promoting myosin assembly are also studied by different bioinformatics approaches (in collaboration with Rob Knight and Micah Hamady).  Theoretical predictions on myosin self-assembly properties are then tested in the non-muscle COS 7 cell model.  I also take care of the tissue culture and radioactive rooms organization, and I am responsible for the production of monoclonal antibodies from hybridoma cell lines.
