Matt Bell

My research interests are related to muscle physiology and the molecular mechanisms underlying muscle function. Projects I am working on involve expression patterns, functional characteristics, and disease conditions related to the myosin heavy chain genes. Specifically, I am working on modeling the first identified muscle myopathy associated with a mutation in a fast myosin heavy chain isoform.
